Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Timothy W Goodcase. I was born and raised in Niles, IL.   I graduated from Niles West High School.   I had received my bachelor degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University in 1981.   I had worked at a number of companies in various industries as a computer programmer and systems analyst.   I’m currently employed at Discover Financial Services for 10 years as the Sr. Systems Analyst working on the Network Core Financial Systems.   I had been the team lead for a number of projects that required gathering and understanding the requirements of the business partners, communicating with my team, collaboration with other IT teams, and managing the project through development, testing, and finally into successful implementation.

I came to know about the Constitution Party back in 2006.  I was frustrated with the choice of candidates for Illinois governor.  We had Judy Baar-Topinka running against Rod Blagojevich for Illinois Governor.  I asked, 'What kind of choice was this?'  I didn't like either one of the candidates.  I said to myself, 'There has to be a better candidate running for Illinois governor.'  This was when I found Randy Stufflebeam running for governor as a Constitution Party candidate.

When I read the Constitution Party's Platform and where they stood on various issues, I knew that the Constitution Party was the political party that shared my values and will fight to protect my freedoms and my rights.  In 2012, I became the organizer of the Constitution Party of DuPage County.  As the Illinois economy worsens and our individual rights increasingly being infringed upon, I knew that I needed to do more than just hold monthly Constitution Party meetings.  I felt a call to run for public office for the first time.  Because of my experience with financial systems, it was only fitting to throw my hat in the ring for Illinois Comptroller and run against Judy Baar-Topinka.
